B.A.S.S. Nation Qualifier 2016

The B.A.S.S. Nation Qualifier event held at Lake Oanob from the 20th – 21st of August 2016 will go down into history as the toughest event that the NBAA has ever hosted. The fact that only 14 fish made it to the scales over 2 days is testament to the effects of the drought which is currently destroying Southern Africa. It saddens me to see our fisheries in this state, I personally have seen a steady decline in the health of our fisheries and the oxygen deprived stagnant water is not helping our sport at all.  We need rain!!!

Congratulations to James and Alec for sharing 1st place. Congratulations to Neil for 2nd place and to Thinus for 3rd place. Thinus also caught the duma of the tournament. Points between Alec & James will be shared and Alec won the event by having the biggest bag of the 2 on a single day.
