TOURNAMENT TO BE HELD AT INYANKUNI DAM ON SATURDAY 10TH SEPTEMBER 2016
ENTRY FEE - $50 PER ANGLER.
PRIZE MONEY - $1000 FOR BIGGEST BASS
OFF LIMITS – THE DAM WILL BE OFF LIMITS TO ANGLERS AS FROM WEDNESDAY 7TH SEPTEMBER 2016.
DURATION OF TOURNAMENT – FIRST SAFE LIGHT TILL 16.30PM ON 10TH SEPT.
REGISTRATION AND INDEMNITY FORM SIGNING WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY 6TH SEPTEMBER 2016 AT 17.00 AT ……. REGISTRATION PRIOR TO 6TH SEPTEMBER CAN BE DONE WITH SHAUN FORD AT DABEC. LATE COMERS WILL BE ABLE TO REGISTER AT THE DAM’S LAUNCH SITE WHERE THEY WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE INDEMNITY FORM.
CAPTAIN’S MEETING AND FURTHER REGISTRATION WILL BE HELD AT INYANKUNI BASS BULAWAYO CLUB HOUSE AT 18.00 HOURS ON FRIDAY 9TH SEPTEMBER.
THERE WILL ONLY BE ONE LAUNCH SITE WHICH WILL BE DEMARCATED BY YELLOW TAPE. NO OTHER LAUNCH SITE MAY BE USED.
THERE WILL BE 2 RED MARKERS TO INDICATE THE START LINE. NO BOATS MAY PROCEED PAST THESE 2 MARKERS PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF THE TOURNAMENT- THIS WILL RESULT IN INSTANT DISQUALIFICATION. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.          

 

ADMINISTRATION
1) ALL ENTRIES TO PAY $50 PER ANGLER. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES MAY A BOAT HAVE A NON PAID UP ANGLER ON BOARD. THIS WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION OF ANY FISH WEIGHED IN. NO LONE RANGERS.
2) ENTRY FEES MUST BE PAID BEFORE STARTING. THE CHECK OUT MARSHALL AT THE START WILL CONFIRM THIS.  LATE ARRIVALS ON SATURDAY MORNING WILL PAY THE WEIGH MASTER, SIGN THE INDEMNITY FORMS, AND COLLECT A COPY OF THE RULES PRIOR TO LAUNCHING.
3) COLOUR STICKERS WILL BE ISSUED PRIOR TO LAUNCHING TO INDICATE PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE.
4) AT THE WEIGH BAY THERE WILL BE A WEIGH IN FORM WHICH WILL BE FILLED IN AFTER WEIGHING IN INDIVIDUAL FISH. ONLY LIVING FISH WILL COUNT. FORMS WILL STATE DATE, TIME, FISH WEIGHED IN, ANGLER NAME AND SIGNATURE. FAILURE TO SIGN WILL EXEMPT THE ANGLER OF DISCOURSE.
5) IN THE UNLIKELY EVENT OF A DRAW, PRIZE MONEY WILL BE SPLIT.


TOURNAMENT RULES.
1) PRIOR TO THE START, ALL BOATS WILL PASS THE CHECK OUT MARSHALL, INDICATED BY A STROBE LIGHT. LIVE WELLS WILL BE CHECKED AS WELL AS LIFE JACKETS AND PAYMENT STICKERS. A TAG NUMBER WILL BE GIVEN TO EACH BOAT AND THIS MUST BE REMOVED BY 16.30PM. THIS IS TO ENSURE THAT ALL BOATS ARE BACK SAFELY.
2) BOATS WILL PROCEED TO THE START LINE TO AWAIT THE SIGNAL TO START. DEPENDING ON THE CONDITIONS THIS WILL BE A MASS START.
3) LIFE JACKETS MUST BE WORN WHEN THE MAIN MOTOR IS RUNNING.
4) NO ALCOHOL MAY BE CONSUMED ON THE BOAT.
5) AT EXACTLY 16.30 A SIGNAL WILL BE GIVEN TO END THE TOURNAMENT. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE FOR LATE ARRIVALS. THIS INCLUDES BREAK DOWNS. SHOULD THIS HAPPEN, THE ONUS IS ON THE INDIVIDUAL TO GET HIS FISH TO THE WEIGH-IN. NOTE – IN TERMS OF THE INLAND SHIPPING ACT, BOATS MUST STOP WHEN A YELLOW FLAG IS SEEN.
6) ONLY ARTIFICIAL LURES MAY BE USED.
7) A BOAT MAY HAVE THREE PAID UP ANGLERS ON BOARD. NO LONE RANGERS, EACH BOAT MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF TWO ANGLERS.
8) MAIN ENTRANCES TO RIVERS WILL BE MARKED WITH BOUYS AND THERE SHOULD BE NO PLAINING PAST THEM INTO RIVERS.
9) LANDING NETS MAY BE USED.
10) THE WALL AND INTAKE TOWER ARE OUT OF BOUNDS PAST THE MARKERS.
